Clean Air of Nevada's vision and spirit of innovation later resulted in the formation of Eco-Coatings to meet a need in the automotive, fleet, marine and heavy equipment industries. The goal, to develop a durable and environmentally friendly surface coating that could  restore the color and value of faded and oxidized surfaces to a “like new” appearance.  The result: ARMOR FINISH

WHAT IS ARMOR FINISH?

Armor Finish is a synergistic blend of advanced industrial coating ingredients together with Armor Shield a derivative of octinoxate (USAN) used to absorb the harmful effects of UV-B rays from the sun on painted surfaces.

Armor Finish is not a wax or polish, but a (non-paint) solvent based product, designed to penetrate any painted metal, plastic, rubber or fiberglass surface. The coating is completely clear and dries fully cured to a high gloss within minutes. It can also be applied over decals, hydraulic lines and tires while remaining flexible and therefore resistant to cracking or peeling.  Armor Finish withstands frequent aggressive washing, fading from direct sunlight and other environmental damage. All this without excess down time, the cost of a complete re-paint or even the additional installation and expense of new decals.

OUR PROCESS

The process itself is quick and simple, but as we all know, premium results only come from the best of preparation. Armor Cleaner is a highly concentrated citrus based product specially formulated by Eco-Coatings to be compatible with Armor Finish The substrate being restored must be thoroughly cleaned with a 50:1 mixture of Armor Cleaner and water, and scuffed to remove all oils, grease, silicone and other contaminants.

The surface is rinsed with clean water and completely dried. Windshields, mirrors, side and rear glass etc, are masked and if necessary, touch up any small areas of chipped or missing paint. Armor Finish has no “Target HAP” as defined in the EPA Code 40 CFR Part 63 and as such, has been recognized by the EPA as a “green” product.  WHY PAINT YOUR VEHICLE OR EQUIPMENT AGAIN   Certainly there is a need to repaint after heavy collision damage has been repaired or during a re-branding program, but for everyday appearance enhancement, Armor Finish is the answer. Decal kits alone and their cost of removal and installation can often be more expensive than a complete coat of Armor Finish. With our unique process you have less equipment down time and budget savings for those more critical issues.  Armor Finish has no “Target HAP” as defined in the EPA Code 40 CFR Part 63 and as such, has been recognized by the EPA as a “green” product.

The coating is spray applied using any type of HVLP equipment, although brush coating is certainly a suitable alternative for small areas.
